Proclamation of Jatiya JuboShokti
“Youth’s Resolve for a Dignified Bangladesh and a New Political Order”
In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
We begin by honoring the sacrifices of all martyrs and those injured during the July Uprising.
We, the members of Jatiya JuboShokti, believe that youth have always led the fundamental transformations of history. Now, the time has come for a new political arrangement and the building of a new republic. We stand at the juncture of a long, ongoing struggle—one that began with the anti-colonial movement of 1947, matured through the Liberation War of 1971, and found renewed direction and determination in the historic student uprising of 2024.
This uprising was not merely an eruption of frustration—it was the birth of a new political imagination. It was a clear declaration from the youth: the current system is unsustainable, and what we need is a new vision of the state, a new path forward. The July Uprising emerged from the collective yearning for a reimagined state and political future. Jatiya JuboShokti is a continuation of that uprising.
We stand for a politics of responsibility and empathy—where leadership means assuming accountability, practicing compassion, embracing tolerance, and actively solving citizens’ problems. Without responsibility, empathy, and humanity, no political community can be truly formed. It is this politics of duty and care that establishes justice and solidarity, and we uphold these as core moral foundations of our movement.
We envision a Bangladesh where citizen dignity is not just a legal term, but a lived reality; where the state honors all languages, cultures, religions, and ethnic identities; where communal harmony is not just a slogan, but the very foundation of national policy. Rejecting all forms of religious hatred and extremism, we seek to foster peace, justice, and dignity by honoring the religious and moral values of our people.
Our political ideology is rooted in Bangladeshism—a distinct, sovereign framework grounded in the country’s history, geography, culture, economy, and the struggles of its people. Bangladeshism is an anti-fascist, anti-imperialist political path that does not operate under the shadow of any global power. Rather, it believes in self-determination, national dignity, and a policy direction shaped by our internal realities, public aspirations, and the dreams of future generations.
We believe Bangladesh is not merely a territorial state—it is a deltaic civilization. This civilization, shaped by rivers and mountains and stretching to the Bay of Bengal, is defined by multilingual, multicultural, and geographical richness. Bangladesh must assume leadership across the Bay of Bengal region—as a cultural, geopolitical, and strategic force. But to do so, the state itself must undergo a civilizational transformation. We believe Bangladesh can chart a new course for South Asia.
We demand a national economy that goes beyond statistics of growth and is founded on justice and equity. Every citizen must have access to employment, education, healthcare, and technology. The state must ensure meaningful employment opportunities for youth and provide platforms to unleash their creativity and innovation. JuboShokti is committed to building a merit-based, corruption-free state structure.
We advocate for democracy and good governance that do not stop at the ballot box. People must participate in every law, policy, and decision-making process. We call for an independent Election Commission, an impartial judiciary, empowered local governments, and a transparent, accountable government powered by digital innovation.
JuboShokti believes that young women are not just participants—they are the face of leadership in the new republic. Their presence must not be tokenistic or obstructed—instead, it must be embedded in the mainstream of family, workplace, politics, and social movements. We envision a state where women’s courage, decision-making power, and capabilities are nurtured without barriers. Not violence against women, but women’s hands shall lead the rebuilding of society and state.
We also declare with clarity: the protection of national security and sovereignty is not the sole duty of the military or policymakers—it is also the political and moral responsibility of the youth. In today’s world, youth engagement is a strategic necessity—from border defense to cyber warfare, from climate resilience to food and tech security. Without youth involvement, sovereignty cannot be truly defended.
We face multifaceted challenges: unemployment, barriers to entrepreneurship, an outdated education system, the alarming spread of drugs, and a hollow, market-driven culture that derails our youth. We demand that the state invest in creative employment, innovative entrepreneurship, and moral education and training. Every young person should have the freedom to decide—whether to seek a job or build an enterprise. No youth should disappear into the world of drugs—they should lose themselves in the pursuit of their dreams. We demand that the state accept this responsibility and build the moral, social, and economic infrastructure needed to stand with its youth.
At the heart of all these aspirations lies our central demand: a new political order and a new republic. We believe the time has come for a new constitution and a new political compact—one that genuinely represents this generation, ensures its dignity and opportunities, and builds a future political system that upholds balance of power, accountability, justice, environmental sustainability, and technological adaptation.
We are the generation that knows its past, sees the present, and does not fear building the future.
We carry the spirit of 1947’s liberation, are inspired by the sacrifices of the 1971 freedom struggle, and are committed to the promises of the 2024 uprising.
We are not merely heirs to the past—we are the authors of what comes next.
JuboShokti will ensure that youth have representation and rightful participation in state and politics.
The parliament of the future and the Bangladesh of tomorrow will belong to the youth and the new generation
